• Language is close to Burmese

178 acres of degraded soils:

• 8 areas marked with green color (in image at right)

• These abandoned areas are in direct control of villagers (largely no pasture, no agriculture, no land dispute)

• Some areas retains a bit of forest cover, so we might not need to plant whole area, but around 150 acres of plantation


Relationship with Community:

• Villagers are well-aware of previously implemented reforestation project by Philippe in a neighboring village

• And now asking to replicate the same in their village to recharge ground water


Tourism:

• Hosts famous caves with plenty of Buddha statues, a hidden tourism gem
